We stumbled upon Northern - a new furniture brand while browsing this post by Wallpaper.   We like a bit of that Nordic design aesthetic here at The Usual and we can't resist a nice desk. So it shouldn't be any surprise that our favourite piece in the Shelter desk. We love it because of its simple streamlined design. The perforated steel screen adds a dash of texture.   Check it out on their website.

Even though I spend most of my time on an electronic device it is hard to deny the appeal of pen and paper. With these beautiful Memo Blocks from Ito Bindery it would be even harder. On second thought it might be easier because I'd rather look than write on them.   I'll need to get them to find out. If I had to choose my favourite it would be the smaller one in the bright red. I can't seem to find it at any local stockists of that colour in Australia - but I did at Need Supply.   Link via - Minimalissimo

We love the design of the Bunaco wireless speaker by Nendo.    The first thing the caught our eye was the strip of coiled beechwood. According to Nendo beechwood has sound absorbing qualities - giving it a unique sound. It got our attention so much we almost missed seeing the power cable going through it!
